Wall Painting : It’s your Canvas!!!

Painting is a wonderful technique used for making complete transformation and illusion of the house decor and it enables to express ones character and the people living around. A very difficult decision that has to be taken is to pick the right color and finish that makes it suitable for a given room. First the wall surface must be treated well to disguise the imperfections and to give a smooth finish using white as a base color. The different rooms must be treated individually keeping a cohesive approach for the entire house. Various painting techniques that can be adopted are color washing, sponging, stippling, dry brushing, texturing and wood finishing. Choose the colors so as to coordinate it with the other decorating pieces, flooring as well as the furniture thus maintaining a balance and harmony. Pale colors give a sense of space while a darker one makes a room look smaller. Try out different techniques and colors giving a unique style and an authentic look establishing a serene atmosphere for the people to live in comfortably. When you finish you will find that you have created a finely textured and glossy finish that cannot be found in any simple emulsion paint.
